John Joseph Sheehy was born in the south west of Ireland in 1949. He moved to London in the 1950s and has lived in the city ever since. From 1965 until 1989 he worked as a builder and roofer. He first began to paint and write poetry in 1999. He has exhibited with the Stuckists and British surrealists and his poetry has been broadcast on the BBC. Faoi Scáil, an ilustrated poem in Gaeilge, was released as part of our twenty 7″ paperback poems series. John curates a daily blog with images and text.
