Over the last twelve months Jan Noble has released twelve single poem 7″ paperback books, one per month. They are available today as the boxed set “Assemblage de choses de même nature au nombre de douze” or 12 poems in 12 books in 1 box.
This box set features About She Goes, illustrated lyrics of the poem that features on Cesarians 1, the debut album by the Cesarians, the first two singles from McKevitt and Noble: This is what I wanted to give you and This is a bucket (with cover artwork by video artist Chris Briggs), a collaboration with fine art illustrator Ali Hutchinson on Goldfish as well as the long poem Tide commissioned last year by the East End Film Festival.
Thanks to David Green for these photos of Andy Faair at the Stoke Newington Bookshop last Thursday. Andy didn’t read from his book on the night . . . after a few beers he gathered the assembled to the makeshift bar at the back of the shop and recounted the story that lay behind and runs right through Greyhound Company Rules. He’s coming to a bar near you soon so if you don’t buy his book . . . buy him a drink.
Jan Noble and Peter Bennett read from their latest books tomorrow night (16th November) at the Kosmic Juke-Joint, The Lock Tavern, Camden. Live bands and DJs include Miraculous Mule and One Man Destruction Show. Free from 8pm.

Some of the books in our 7″ single range are now 20% off when you buy directly from our printer Lulu. These include titles released earlier in the year but it is well worth checking out special offers that will be cropping up on this website from time to time as well as new releases all the way up to Christmas. Also a reminder that This is a Bucket, The second single from McKevitt & Noble, is available as a free download for a limited period from http://www.myspace.com/thisisabucket
You can now preview (most of) our books before buying by clicking the ‘preview here . . .’ link on the book’s page. You’ll find it below the title and above the book’s cover image. The cover image is itself a link to the preview (powered by issuu.com). The link will open up in the same window. To return to the book to buy it or find out more information simply use your browser to go back a page. That is all.
Do I have to say anything more than free beer?

With 10 minutes to go before kick-off fashionable West London is already applauding the chorus of 3 thousand tangerine clad Blackpool fans. Somewhere on the M6 a lad from the town they have come down to the capital to represent is making his way home North to visit his mother. On him a copy of The Occasional Diary Entry of an Opportunist Football Fan. This after all is a story that has much to do with family as it has to do with the fixture he is missing. Politics and punk, promenades and promotion break across the pages of this salty little 7″ single. Oranges at half time? No mate . . . tangerines.
